MK Yoav Kisch (Likud), chairman of the Knesset’s Internal Affairs Committee, on Sunday commented on the remarks of TV host Eyal Berkowitz against the Arab MKs, which resulted in him being sued for libel by Meretz MK Esawi Frej.
"There was a traitor Arab MK - Azmi Bishara. There was an Arab MK who helped terrorists - Basel Ghattas," Kisch said, adding, "Generalizing is wrong. It was certainly wrong to generalize all the Arab Knesset members as supporters of terror, but it is certainly possible to understand Berkowitz’s statement in light of these cases."
"The Arab MKs all oppose the Nationality Law and want a state of all its citizens here. The most extreme of them cross the line and act against the State of Israel and its laws. They will not succeed," stressed MK Kisch.
