An earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale struck in the Pacific Ocean close to Tonga on Saturday night, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The earthquake is not expected to trigger a tsunami as it is too deep. There are no reports of injuries or damages at this point.
