Joint List MK Yousef Jabareen slammed police following a State Comptroller's report which found that police have failed to curb the widespread violence in the Israeli Arab sector.
"Although 95% of the shooting incidents in residential areas in 2016 occurred in Arab localities, the rate of indictments submitted from all investigation files is extremely marginal: 3.4% in the Kedma police station, 3.7% in the Nazareth police station, and 1.2% in Umm al-Fahm," said Jabareen.
"These data must shake the law enforcement system. It exposes a serious and dangerous failure in dealing with the phenomenon of violence in Arab society."
