MK Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid) welcomed President Rivlin's decision to grant a pardon to a Bedouin girl who was sold twice for forced marriage, was raped and subjected to abuse and severe violence that led her to murder the man who hurt her.
"I would like to thank President Rivlin for showing his emotional and compassionate response to my appeal," she said. "The Minister of Justice who signed the motion for clemency and attorney Roni Aloni Sadovnik, who led the struggle along the way. I hope the authorities will do whatever it takes to provide them with the necessary protection now."
