Israeli Minister of Communications, (Ayoub Kara) welcomed the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Israel Broadcasting Corporation that paves the way for Israel to host the 2019 Eurovision Song Competition.
"I am happy to inform the citizens of the State of Israel that the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Israel in 2019," said Kara.
"I thank Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his efforts to bring the most important European cultural event to our country," he continued.
"I thank the members of the Finance Ministry and the Israel Broadcasting Corporation for maintaining the competition, and I am certain that together we will succeed."
