Member of Knesset Michael Oren (Kulanu), a deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Office, has responded to the Palestinian Authority's demand to expel the State of Israel from the United Nations in the wake of the National Law, saying, "The 137 countries that recognized the Palestinian state did so with the intention of advancing peace, and what do the Palestinians do in response? They are appealing to the United Nations, demanding that Israel be expelled from all international organizations, when this time, the excuse is the enactment of the Nationality Law."
The former ambassador to the United States continued, "Even without the Nationality Law, the goal of the Palestinians was and remains the same goal - to wipe Israel off the map. Unfortunately, those 137 countries that have recognized 'Palestine' are wrong to think that the PA's activity is for peace. The states are in fact helping the Palestinians' malicious plot to expel Israel from the UN and thus to destroy the State of Israel, all without reference to the Nationality Law."
