Attorney Orly Erez-Likhovski, the legal adviser to the Women of the Western Wall, said, that members of the organization were assaulted during their monthly Rosh Chodesh prayer service at the beginning of the Hebrew month.
"Even today, Women of the Wall suffered severe violence that included pushing, beating, scratching and spitting," she said.
"To add insult to injury, the Israeli police completely ignored the complaints of the worshipers about the severe harassment against them, thereby encouraging the rioters and thugs to continue their violence."
