Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Michael Oren said on Thursday morning, "As someone who worked tirelessly to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza, I encountered the strong will of Hamas commanders to starve the citizens of the Gaza Strip and murder Israelis. It is inconceivable that Israeli citizens spend the night in reinforced rooms while Hamas commanders run around free."
Writing on Twitter, the former ambassador to the United States said, "I call for a return to the understandings of Protective Edge and to restore Israeli deterrence immediately."
