IDF says 'bad judgement' at fault for religious soldiers swiveling backs on female instructor

The IDF blamed 'bad judgment' for a controversial incident on Wednesday in which religious soldiers turned their backs in order not to see a female parachuting instructor demonstrate a drill. The soldiers had listened to a reserve commander, who said that all observant troops should turn away from the soldier in order not to violate their religious beliefs.
