Mercedes says it will drop plans for Iran factory after new sanctions

The German automobile producer Daimler, which makes Mercedes-Benz luxury sedans, announced that it will scrap its plans for a new factory in Iran after the US slapped the Islamic Republic with fresh sanctions on Tuesday.
