Member of Knessett Motti Yogev (Jewish Home), a member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, claims that the cabinet's discussions on the international efforts for a ceasefire arrangement in Gaza cannot produce a real result.

Interviewed by Radio 101.5FM, the retired colonel said, "There is no chance for any arrangement in the Gaza Strip, we cannot escape from Gaza, not from a humanitarian point of view, and not from a security perspective." He explained that there are two reasons for this. "One is ideological - the Gaza Strip is part of the State of Israel, and we can not escape it. This is one of our missions. The second reason is security. Whoever runs from terror, terror will chase him."
