The families of fallen IDF soldiers Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul have set up a protest tent in front of the Prime Minister's residence in Jerusalem, while the diplomatic-security cabinet meets on a cease-fire agreement with Hamas that will not include the return of their bodies.

Hadar's father, Professor Simcha Goldin, told Arutz Sheva that "the alliance between the families of the combat soldiers and the state has been broken. The prime minister took soldiers out into battle and did not return them for four years." He added, "We are against any agreement related to Gaza that does not include bringing the soldiers first. The prime minister made a commitment to that at the beginning. Every deal must be conditional on the transfer of soldiers. That's the cabinet decision that must be made today. Everything else is a surrender of the state to Hamas."
