Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the purposes behind the nationality law during a meeting on Sunday with ministers in his Likud party.
"The nationality law is important against the challenge of the Jewish nation-state, against the reunification of Palestinian families in Israel and against the infiltrators," said Netanyahu
"In recent years, the legal system has been moving in one direction and should be balanced"
