Syrian officials are denying that Israeli aircraft were shot down in Syrian territory, after the SANA news agency reported earlier that the country's air defense system had destroyed a "hostile" target in western Damascus.
The officials, quoted by the Lebanese Al-Mayadeen network, said there had been no Israeli attack on Syrian soil.
