Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman toured the Air Force's air defense array in the north of the country, along with Air-Defense Commander Zvika Haimovitch, among others. He visited Patriot battery and a David's Sling battery.
During the tour, Liberman discussed the incendiary kites and balloons plaguing the Gaza area, saying, "We have to hit those who are activating the balloon launchers, not the lower-level people, but the people who send them. In the past week, they have moved to an organized and planned operation under the clear directive of Hamas leaders to dispatch the kites or balloons out of populated houses and out of apartments, and especially by children."
