In the past few hours there have been increasing, unconfirmed Palestinian Authority reports about the signing in the coming hours of an agreement formulated by Egyptian intelligence chiefs between Fatah and Hamas regarding control of Gaza, according to Maariv.
The implementation of the agreement will be supervised by Egyptian intelligence personnel. Rami Hamdallah's PA government would receive all the powers in Gaza from Hamas, including administrative, economic and legal powers, within a predetermined timeframe. The reports indicate that the agreement does not include the automatic joining of Hamas' current security forces to PA forces.
