Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas met with Ahed Tamimi, who was released from an Israeli prison on July 29, after serving a prison term for an assault on an IDF officer.
In a meeting held at his office in Ramallah, Abbas said Tamimi is "an example of the Palestinian struggle for freedom and independence and the establishment of our independent Palestinian state," according to the PA's WAFA news agency.
