Sheikh Muwaffak Tarīf, the spiritual leader of the Druze community in Israel, is calling for a rewording of the recently-passed Nationality Law, according to Israel Defense Forces Radio.
Tarif said, "Israel is our homeland. I call on the government to change provisions of the law so that they will recognize the members of the Druze community - we want them not to suppress us."
