US Ambassador to the United Nations (UN), Nikki Haley said that the time has come for states in the Middle East to assume responsibility in providing aid for Palestinians.
"The United States has provided over six billion – with a B – dollars in bilateral assistance to Palestinians," Haley noted during an address to the UN Security Council at a meeting on the Middle East.
"As we extend our hand, we also expect others to extend their hands as well," she added. "It is time for the regional states in particular to step up and really help the Palestinian people, instead of just making speeches thousands of miles away.”
