Israeli Construction and Housing Minister Yoav Gallant said that the current escalations with the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip are primarily a result of Iran's intentions to push Israel into a "war of attrition."
"There is an Iranian attempt to push Hamas into a war of attrition against Israel, while the Iranians are strengthening their economy and trying to create a nuclear capability," Gallant told Reshet Bet.
