Member of Knesset Benny Begin (Likud), who abstained in the vote on the Nationality Law, says that in his opinion, the proposal approved by the Knesset is important.
Interviewed by Israeli public radio, Begin said, "The law is not superfluous, but I think it is worth noting that the state of the Jewish people is committed to equal rights for all its citizens."
