A bill to ban the advertising of tobacco products passed its first reading in the Knesset plenum in the predawn hours of Thursday morning.
The measure includes a blanket ban on advertising tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes and tobacco steaming products. The exception to the law will be only in the written press and not in the online edition of a newspaper, not including newspapers intended for children and youth where the publication will be prohibited.
