Austrian official pushes to limit sale of kosher meat

A regional cabinet minister in Austria is pushing for a plan to limiting the selling of kosher meat to observant Jews with permits.

The minister, Gottfried Waldhäusl, said the plan was important “from an animal welfare point of view.”
