The Knesset approved on Monday evening the second and third readings of a bill proposed by MK Eitan Cabel (Zionist Union) which would shorten the waiting times for a response of a customer service agent on issues of malfunctions, clarifying the status of an account and ending a contract.

According to the proposal, companies will be required to allow a customer to receive customer service following a waiting time of no longer than 6 minutes. It was further determined, in an unprecedented manner, that the law will also apply to banks and insurance companies.
