Member of Knesset Ahmad Tibi (Joint List) asked Chairman Amir Ohana of the Nationality Law Committee on Thursday to allow former MK Mohammad Barakeh to speak to the committee, just as the Jewish Agency's director-general was authorized to speak to the committee at the request of Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky.
Barakeh now chairs of the Higher Arab Monitoring Committee. Tibi's demand interrupted the appearance of Jewish Agency Director General Josh Schwartz.
