Member of Knesset Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid) said on Thursday morning that it was "very disappointing" that a bill by Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked to keep people from being consumers of prostitution was postponed to the winter session, following a disagreement between the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Public Security regarding the areas of responsibility.
Writing on Twitter, Lavie said, "We received an explicit commitment from Minister Shaked that the law would be brought to the end of the session. Everyone understands that the first reading has critical implications for the immediate situation on the ground, as well as for the continued advancement of the law if the Knesset is dissolved. The Knesset said its words unanimously, the time has come for the government to do its part and put an end to the dragging."
