A senior Israeli official told the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation, Thursday morning, "Russia is working to distance the Iranians from the border with us on the Golan Heights. It's not complete, it's not from all of Syria, but it was working to get them out of southern Syria. Nevertheless, Israel still wants to remove them from all Syrian territory."
The remarks were made against the backdrop of the Wednesday meeting between Prime Minister Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
