Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon has assured local council heads in the north that the government would approve a large-scale plan that would protect many buildings throughout the country from earthquakes and missiles, according to News 2.
The plan will include reinforcement of buildings against earthquakes and missiles - both in the north and in the conflict settlements in the south. The amount of the budget to be allocated to the issue has yet to be determined, but it is billions of shekels that will be invested over several years. Kahlon met in the Haifa municipality with heads of local authorities and promised that the move would be brought to the cabinet next week.
