The Council of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel approved, Sunday, the addition of policemen and women to the wording of the "Mi Sheberach" prayer recited in synagogues on the Sabbath for the wellbeing of security forces.
Public Safety Minister Gil'ad Erdan welcomed the rabbinate's acceptance of his initiative, saying, "Today Israeli policemen are at the forefront of the struggle against terror and we must pray for their safety and security."
