Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman spoke Thursday evening at the 176th Pilots Course Graduation Ceremony and vowed to act with responsibility when it comes to protecting Israel's interests.
"I see before me the commanders of squadrons of the next decade, and I see before me the best defense force in the world, in the strongest army in the Middle East - with all its parts - air, sea and land - ready and prepared for every scenario," said Liberman.
"We Israelis are short-tempered people. We want everything right away and now - 'war now'. 'Decision Now'. But a serious and responsible security policy cannot be a response to media or public pressure. The State of Israel faces many challenges and threats, both in the south and in the north" continued Liberman.
"The safety and security of the residents of the south and the north, like all citizens of Israel, is at the top of our agenda. Trust us that we act responsibly and in accordance with Israeli interests. We have no intention of being drawn to war."
