Former General says IDF should promote Religious Zionist officer Ofer Vinter

Major General (Reserve) and Zionist Union member Amiram Levin called on the IDF to promote Brigadier General Ofer Vinter.

"We have to appoint Winter as division commander," tweeted Levin. "The discussion is not suitable for commanding a division or being a general in the General Staff - the question of who should be appointed."

"The IDF is full of good and suitable commanders but lacks surprising, daring and unusual commanders, so the IDF needs Winter. The politicization of the discussion does an injustice to Winter and the chief of staff and is not worthy," Levin said.
