The Ministerial Committee on Legislation has endorsed a bill by Member of Knesset Miki Zohar (Likud), according to which "a tax exemption will be given to payments and services provided to the prime minister."
The bill states that the prime minister will not have to pay taxes on "payments, services and benefits paid or given from the State Treasury to the Prime Minister in connection with the performance of his duties, with the exception of salary."
