Elkin says plan to reduce pollution 'will save hundreds of lives a year'

Environmental Protection Minister Ze'ev Elkin said in a report to the Interior and Environment Committee that the ministry's plan to stop the pollution from diesel cars would save 350 lives a year. "We have launched a plan to turn Israel into a leader in environmental technology," said Elkin.
