Chairman Ayman Odeh of the Joint List of predominantly Arab parties said, Monday evening, "And now seriously - the ministers Liberman and Erdan, who are in charge of the foreign and domestic security of Israeli citizens, are directing their intentions directly at us and at the entire Arab public."

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman has called for Member of Knesset Odeh and other Joint List members to be outlawed over their participation in demonstrations against Israel's Gaza policy. Erdan has called for Odeh to be investigated for cursing a police officer at one of these demonstrations. Odeh continued, "Under their patronage, the violence is reaching the streets of Haifa. Under their auspices, the wishes for 'death to the Arabs' are becoming commonplace."
