Producers of Eretz Nehederet: No intent to hurt or degrade

The producers of the "Eretz Nehederet" television satire show said on Thursday there was no intent to harm or degrade Judaism during a sketch in which an actor portrayed Minister Naftali Bennett wearing tefillin [phylacteries -ed.] that were arranged in a disgraceful fashion.

The producers explained, "The skit dealt, among other things, with the Netta Barzilai's winning the Eurovision Song Contest and the extensive way in which the public was caught up. Neta's hairstyle was incorporated on the heads of some of the characters participating in the skit, in different variations."
