Former defense minister Moshe Yaalon said on Tuesday, "The humanitarian distress in Gaza is not caused by us. We must not blame ourselves."
Interviewed by Israeli public radio, Yaalon explained, "They are not under siege. They are under a security closure. If they would not threaten us then movement would be free without Israeli supervision. There is something to be done but we are not responsible."
