(AFP) - French President Emmanuel Macron called Thursday for "de-escalation" between Israel and Iran after the Israeli army struck Iranian targets in Syria following rocket fire on Israeli bases.
Macron's office issued a statement that said, "He calls for a de-escalation", adding that Macron would discuss the issue with Angela Merkel when he meets with the German chancellor in the western German city of Aachen, later in the day.
