Former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson is in serious condition after undergoing emergency surgery earlier on Saturday.
The club released a statement confirming Ferguson was rushed to hospital with a brain hemorrhage, stating that the surgery went "very well."
"Sir Alex Ferguson has undergone emergency surgery today for a brain hemorrhage," the statement read. "The procedure has gone very well but he needs a period of intensive care to optimize his recovery."
