Two men were seriously and moderately affected today by toxic gas after entering a pit in an open area between Tzur Yitzhak and Ein Sarig in the Sharon region, northeast of Tel Aviv.
The Magen David Adom emergency service gave them initial treatment and evacuated them to the Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. Firefighting personnel prepared to enter the area with another person suspected of being in the pit.
