The Security Council of the United Nations is scheduled to convene today to hold a discussion on the Middle East, which is expected to focus on demonstrations on the Gaza border and Israel Defense Forces fire against the rioters.
UN Middle East envoy Nikolay Mladenov - who last week slammed Israel for the deaths of Gaza youths during the demonstrations - will brief the council ahead of the debate.
