The office of former United States president George H.W. Bush said on Monday that he was hospitalized in Houston on Sunday after contracting an infection that spread to his blood.
A spokesman said he was “responding to treatments and appears to be recovering.” The hospitalization followed the funeral for Bush's wife Barbara.
