Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman praised security forces for thwarting an attempt to smuggle explosives into Israel at the Reihan Crossing near Jenin. The bomb had been hidden on a truck's roof. "The vigilance and professionalism of the Crossing Authorities at the Defense Ministry led to the uncovering of a bomb and the thwarting of a major attack on the 70th Independence Day, and we will chase those who planned to attack our holiday" said Liberman.
