About 300 thousand visitors went during the intermediate days of Pesach to tourist sites in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley, including hiking trails, museums, festivals, wineries and archeological sites.
The tourism associations of the local authorities, together with field schools in the area and the directors of various sites in Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley expressed their satisfaction with the high numbers. The pleasant weather that prevailed throughout the week, along with the various activities organized for the benefit of the travelers, were credited with producing the numbers. Chairman Hananel Dorani of the Yesha Council of area Jewish communities said "This year we saw an increase in the number of visitors and I am happy to see the hundreds of thousands of tourists who came here and shared the holiday with us in the Bible Belt."
