Fire at Porat Yosef Yeshiva caused by iron welding work

An investigation by fire and rescue investigators reveals that yesterday's fire at the Porat Yosef Yeshiva in Jerusalem's Old City began following welding and cutting of iron.

As a result of this work, sparks that fell from the top floor of the building to the yeshiva hall set curtains on fire, and from there the fire quickly spread to the school's textbook library, and within a short time went out of control.
