The Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee has approved tougher punishment for those who attack teachers.
Yaffa Ben-David, secretary-general of the Histadrut Hamorim teachers' union, praised the committee's decision, saying, "The tougher punishment gives a special status in the law to violence against teaching staff."
