The official value of the shekel rose an average of .688 percent on Tuesday against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.

The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.478, down .458 percent from Monday, while the Euro declined .708 percent to 4.2801 shekels and the pound sterling was set at 4.8416 shekels, down 1.415 percent. The Canadian dollar fell 1.081 percent to NIS 2.7348 and its Australian counterpart was fixed at 2.7253, down .808 percent.
