Four female tank soldiers in the Armored Corps who have completed the training stage and operational employment with the Karakal Battalion will leave for a tank commanders course in the coming days.

The military reporter of the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation here revealed that the course will be held in complete separation from male soldiers, with the four women being together in a tank. The recruitment of women to the Armored Corps aroused great criticism from rabbis and senior officers in the reserves, who expressed concern about the integration of women fighters in the combat setup.
