The Knesset has approved the final readings of a bill allowing the opening of tombs of Yemenite Jews, so that genetic tests can be conducted and family ties checked.
According to the law, members of a family of minors who immigrated from the eastern or Balkan countries in the early days of the modern Jewish state and disappeared have to go to court to order the opening of a grave and exhumation of a body in order to identify it.
