Chairwoman Yael Cohen Faran of the Knesset Subcommittee for Advancing Technologies for Renewable Energy has demanded that Attorney General Avichai Mandelbit immediately order a halt to all negotiations related to the gas export deal with Egypt, according to Maariv.
The Zionist Union lawmaker cited the evidentiary basis against former deputy head of the National Security Council, Avriel Bar-Yosef for bribery, fraud and breach of trust, and suspicion that he promoted business interests of businessman Michael Herzog, while he was a member of the Tzemach Committee, which recommended allowing the export of gas from Israel.
