MK Ksenia Svetlova (Zionist Union) reacted on Sunday evening to the developments in the investigation of Case 4000 (the Bezeq affair).

"It is amazing that in the only democracy in the Middle East, the prime minister fights with all his might against the free press, which is one of the pillars of democracy. The attempt to bind, dictate, appoint and fire, close dark deals with publishers and mainly to harm independent coverage is a deliberate blow to the psyche of living in a democratic country," she said.

"The new disclosures in Case 4000 not only break the record of government corruption, but most of all they show that the prime minister is an obsessive and weak person who treats the country he heads as if he were King Louis XIV,” charged Svetlova.
